Boating enthusiasts in the country have reasons to rejoice the 6th edition of the Qatar International Boat Show (QIBS), which kicked off on March 12 at The Pearl-Qatar, featuring some of the finest marine products in the world.

One of the largest events of its kind in the Middles East, the five-day show has drawn 30 exhibitors from Qatar, Germany, Italy, Turkey and Pakistan.

Some of the best luxury yachts, displaying international craftsmanship and exuding grandeur can be found at the event, which also features boats, dhows, marine equipment and accessories relevant to the marine sector, reported Gulf Times.

QIBS also serves as a terrific maritime-industry networking platform that connects local and international businessmen in the industry to each other and to potential customers from Qatar and around the world.

The show is organized by AlMannai Plus Events, and is being held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior in Qatar.

Chairman of AlMannai Plus Events, Khalid Issa Al Mannai noted that the event not only meets the interests of marine life enthusiasts but “it also provides an opportunity to discuss and obtain the necessary information with representatives of the Qatar Free Zones Authority during the exhibition period.”

In addition to offering some stunning sea vehicles on view, QIBS provides an opportunity to discover latest technological innovations from around the globe and plays a key role in contributing to Qatar’s tourism and exhibition industry, according to The Peninsula.

Some exciting acitvities such as marine tours, water activities and marine races will also run alongside the main show.

The event runs until March 16 and takes place at 25-29 La Croisette, Porto Arabia, The Pearl-Qatar from 2.30 pm to 9.30 pm. To register online, please visit www.qatarboatshow.com.qa
